Bad Habits
02:32
|
|||
Give me an inch and I'll take a yard
I'm only satisfied when I'm dissatisfied
I haven't had enough 'til I've had too much
I'm imprisoned by my lack of self-control
I’m gonna break all my bad habits
Break 'em before they break me
Break all my bad habits
You'll see
A bump in the road, my long lost friend
You're here to talk me out of myself again
I've said it before - I'll never do it again
I wish I had all my "never evers" back
I’m gonna break all my bad habits
Break 'em before they break me
Break all my bad habits
You'll see
Never ever do it again
I’ll never ever do it again
Never ever do it again
I’m gonna break all my bad habits
Break 'em before they break me
Break all my bad habits
You'll see - oh, you’ll see
Gonna break all my bad habits…
Hopefully

30 Something
02:52
|
|||
Life moves fast
I know I heard that line before
But there's more truth to it
when I'm the one that's aging
It seems like yesterday
Playing football in the yard
with a full new deck of cards
at my disposal
I gambled some away
In games I didn't want to play
But I didn't know that
'til it was too late to change it
I know what it's like to be broken
And I know what it's like
to get on my feet again
I know what it's like to find my way
30 something and getting better every day
Bridges burn
So many people come and go
Some have walked with me
and weathered all my seasons
When I was young
It's like I wanted to be sad
It didn't matter what I had
I wasn't happy
I've grown out of that
I learned to love and learned to laugh
I learned to cut myself slack
Lord, knows I need it
I know what it's like to be broken
And I know what it's like
to get on my feet again
I know what it's like to find my way
30 something and getting better every day

Crazy Train
04:52
|
|||
Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love and forget how to hate
Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I've listened to preachers, I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role
Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words, yeah, yeah!
Heirs of the old world, that's what we've become
Inheriting troubles, we’re mentally numb
Crazy, we just cannot bear
We’re all living with something that just isn't fair
Mental wounds not healing
Who and what's to blame?
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

I'm Still Here
02:59
|
|||
I hide behind a smile but I’m bitter in the blood
I try to see the bright side while holding back the flood
If there’s a way to seize the day it’s buried deep inside
Freedom is the dream that fuels the need to stay alive
And I’m still here
I set my sights on glory so I wandered off to war
I made myself a casualty of always wanting more
Behind the eyes that guide me there’s a fear that never sleeps
Hope affirmation isn’t what it used to be
And I’m still here
Just a tiny little whisper in the universe’s ear
I’m still here
Just a little speck of dust with a moment in the sun
Yes, I’m still here
I left a trail of breadcrumbs so I could find a way back home
But when I finally got there, I found myself alone
I built me up a pedestal and I gave it everything
But everything is nothing, and nothing’s what it seems
Yes, I’m still here
Just a tiny little whisper in the universe’s ear
I’m still here
Just a little speck of dust with a moment in the sun
Yes, I’m still here

'Til the Water Runs Dry
04:12
|
|||
This life is a puzzle
That nobody understands
We piece it all together
Then we start over again
If I were a question
The answer would always change
‘cause when you think you know the answers
Only questions will remain
You gotta row with the flow ‘til the water is calm
And appreciate all the ups and downs
Don’t take it hard ‘cause it’s only a ride
Just row with the flow ‘til the water runs dry
Row with the flow ‘til the water runs dry
You better take all your chances
And do it your own way
‘cause everyone and everything
Will disappear someday
You gotta row with the flow ‘til the water is calm
And appreciate all the ups and downs
Don’t take it hard ‘cause it’s only a ride
Just row with the flow ‘til the water runs dry
Row with the flow ‘til the water runs dry
When your story has been written
And the lights fade to black
May all the love you’ve ever made
Come flooding back
Just row with the flow ‘til the water is calm
And appreciate all the ups and downs
Don’t take it hard ‘cause it’s only a ride
You gotta row with the flow ‘til the water runs dry
Row with the flow ‘til the water runs dry

I Want Your Love
05:23
|
|||
Don’t need no money
It doesn’t last
Don’t need no shackles
To chain me to the past
I want your love
I want to feel your fire
I want your love
To burn me with desire
Don’t need a fast car
I take my time
Don’t need a reason
To celebrate with wine
I want your love
I want to feel you breathing
I want your love
To haunt me in my dreams
I want your love
Don’t need no quiet
‘cause I like it loud
Don’t need religion
To know what life’s about
I want your love
I want it slow and steady
I want your love
To make me lose my mind
I want your love

Old Photographs
03:12
|
|||
Moments stuck in time
Artifacts of humankind
They echo from the past
These old photographs
These captured memories
Of the ghosts that haunt my family tree
I see my face
In these old photographs
They take me for a ride
To the people and places of distant times
So faded and cracked
These old photographs
All the secrets they reveal
All the history
So real but so surreal
All the mystery
The stories that they tell
They wake up the past
These old photographs
They document my life
Some make me laugh and some make me cry
Some moments I want back
These old photographs

Craig Haller Nashville, Tennessee
Craig Haller was born with a chip on his shoulder and a song in his heart. His music is the byproduct of many hours spent in obsessive contemplation. With a flair for memorable melodies and an overabundance of poetic license, he happily casts himself as lord of his own creative landscape—a land of genre fluidity, appetizing aural atmospheres, and turns of phrase that refuse to be pinned down. ... more
